Germany
If I think about it I have been around in germany quite a bit. The dutch have had a strange relationship with the germans in the past 50 years. Some old people still genuinely hold a huge grudge against the germans, and all-though quite understandible, not very rational. I have some wonderfull german friends in my life (Ines, Paul, Norman, Nicholas) and enjoyed being in Berlin very much a couple of months ago. Even more strong, many german youngsters seem to have a sensitive attitude to being german some times, while of course there is no way they can be connected to, or held responsible for what happened 50 years ago, that is why paying enormous amounts of money to the children and grand children of those who suffered in camps seems ridiculous to me, but who am I? Anyway Lovely country to visit best highways in the world and let's hope the greens won't make too many speedlimits, most of the highways still don't.
