| Canada I have an uncle who lives near Toronto Canada, the main reason why we went there when I was 14. Toronto was pretty cool I thought, it had this huge stadium that I went to see the Blue Jays in playing the Red Sox (I had just been in Boston for a month so guess who I was silently supporting, ;-). Anyways, I do not remember too much of the rest of the place, we saw some museum and there were squirls everywhere. We went back to Boston through Niagara Falls, that was pretty cool as I love water (pisces eh). My second time to Canada was a short one when we were touring northern Montana and seeing Glacier and Waterton national parks. In October of 2000 I visited Vancouver when attending Jennifer and Davids wedding in Seattle. Toronto Really don't remember too much about it. Loved the Skydome the high tower-thingy, and the many many many squirls... hej.. I was 14. Niagara Falls WOW the amount of water, it is really amazing too see, too bad the whole thing is so tackily overwelmed by tourist traps and vendors. Maybe the should make it nature again in stead of the tourist town it has become, Ban all the postcard sellers and screemy yellow Kodak-film vendors! Waterton NP Basically the other side of Glacier national park. So as gorgeous and stunning only they serve high-tea in the lodge. We saw some really cool Wildlife, Canadian grizzly's just seem a little more real than american ones. Must be the Queens English growling. Vancouver, B.C. Love it. One of the few places in the world where after 48hrs I had the feeling that I could live there for at least a while (only Prague and Bangkok and maybe Paris have done that to me before). The city is very very green the mountains just behind the city make the views and scenery stunning, really amazing. Canada is at least politically quite a bit more forward than the US, and so if ever in North-America then here. Granville island has the nicest market with beautiful fresh produce, drink tea at the tea place, the woman there is fabs. Davie street is where to hang-out and the gas-town where to do the tourist thing. |
